How to Track Shipments With Cortana on Windows 10

One of the really interesting features of Cortana, Microsoft’s digital agent for Windows 10, is that she can track your incoming packages. With just a few simple steps, the next time you have a delivery, Cortana can keep you posted on its status. There are a few ways to track packages using Cortana, the best way, is by having a Microsoft email set-up with your device. If not, you can still direct Cortana to track your packages manually.

To have Cortana automatically track your packages:

1. Open Cortana’s Notebook, then go to Settings.
2. Turn on Find flights and more.

After completing these steps, whenever you receive an email with tracking information, Cortana will ask to track the package once it is identified.
Please note! For this automatic tracking to work, these conditions must be met:

1. Email must be routed through the Mail & Calendar app; web email does not work
2. Currently, only packages and emails from Amazon, Target, Apple, eBay, Microsoft Store, and Walmart are supported
3. Supported package carriers include USPS, FedEx, DHL, and UPS

If you have a different setup and the steps above do not work for you, There are two manual input methods to make
Cortana track a package for you. Here’s how:

1. Open Cortana’s Notebook
2. Click on the Packages tab, click add a package
3. Enter your tracking ID onto the bar, name the package, click add package
4. Optionally, you can toggle the on/off switch to have Cortana display the package information on a package tracking card

Or,

1. Copy your package tracking number
2. Paste it in Cortana’s search bar and track the package!

Cortana will now keep you updated on the status of the package. Furthermore, every time you open Cortana whether it is on the PC or phone
you will see a new card. The Cortana card provides the following information:

1. Estimated delivery date
2. Current status (Processed, In Transit, Delivered)
3. Delivery Address
4. Package number

That’s it! Now you can always pinpoint where your package is in the world thanks to Cortana.
